Lucknow Municipal Corporation came up with the Smart Cities Mission and under that they launched the command and control centre six months back. To use this service, people have to download and install the Lucknow Smart City app on their Android or iOS phones. Now, here the user can register any grievance they have regarding any kind of civic issues within the city limit. The command and control centre can be used to register complaints regarding garbage disposal, water and electricity supply, transportation, streetlights and stray animals. Before lodging a compliant, the user has to activate the GPS on their smartphones. The app works on MSI technology and comes with a log system. It will then forward the message to the right department and will even detect the location of the user. The complainant will be given a compliant number and they can keep tracking it in the app once the grievance has been registered.
