Applying for a Birth Certificate, Death Certificate and a Marriage Certificate has now become a very simple task. A citizen just has to sign up on the Citizen 311 app and apply for the required certificate.

Once signed up, the applicant can log in to the Citizen app and choose the Birth Certificate, Death Certificate or Marriage Certificate option, based on their requirements and fill in the details.

In case of a Birth Certificate, the applicant has to attach a soft copy of the Aadhaar card and other necessary documents of the parents and a hospital discharge certificate and upload it.

In case of obtaining a death certificate, the families of citizens who have expired would be able to get their death certificate made through this app.

In case of an application for a birth or a death certificate, once the Municipal Corporation receives the application request, it verifies the details and then schedules an appointment for the applicant, when the applicant can go and collect the hard copy of the required certificate.

In the case of getting a marriage certificate, the Aadhaar card of the bride and the groom and the necessary documents are needed to apply for the same and get their marriage certificate through this app.

In case of an application for a marriage certificate, the bride and the groom will have to request the application, fill in the required details in the application form and mention the time suitable to them for an appointment.

After applying, the applicant can track the status of their application using the Track Detail option and get the soft copy of the certificate online through the application and a hard copy of the same at the Municipal Corporation office.

In case there are too many appointments on any particular day, the Municipal Corporation will check the same on their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and then alter the schedule of the appointments on a first come first serve basis, based on the slots available.
